Anđela Simić

Andjela R. Simic was born on February 10, 2003, in Belgrade. She graduated from the XIV Belgrade High School and is currently a fifth-year medical student at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, with a GPA of 9.94. During her studies, she has been actively involved in scientific, educational, and student activities that connect medicine, research, and international cooperation.
She is a member of the editorial board of the student scientific journal “Medical Youth.” Since 2023, she has been involved in teaching as a student demonstrator (TA) at Departments of Medical Biochemistry and Pharmacology with Toxicology. She is particularly engaged in working with both international and domestic medical students through the student organization IFMSA. During the 2024/25 academic year, she served as Assistant to the Local Coordinator, and in the 2025/26 academic year she serves as the Local Coordinator of the Human Rights and Peace Committee, where she organizes projects and lectures intended for students as well as the wider community.
She is the author and co-author of eight scientific research papers in the fields of anatomy, pathology, genetics, and neurology. She is also a member of the organizing team of the Global Student Conference held at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. In addition to her academic work, she is engaged as a doping control officer and educator at the Antidoping Agency of the Republic of Serbia. She is a certified provider of Advanced Life Support (ALS) by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
She has received several awards and scholarships, including the national scholarship and the scholarship for exceptionally gifted students awarded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia, as well as a commendation for the best fourth-year student of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade for the 2024/25 academic year. In February 2026, she participated in the SCOPE medical student exchange program in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, at the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery.
She speaks several languages, including English, German, French, and Turkish, and has basic knowledge of Russian and Portuguese. She also has strong digital skills in office and graphic software. Ski instructor.
