Mia Lakić

Mia Lakić is a recent Electrical Engineering graduate from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), one of the most prestigious technical universities in Hungary and the region, and currently works as a Graduate Engineer at Arm. During her studies, she co-founded and organized two TEDx events at BME, helping bring impactful ideas and speakers to the university community.

She has been actively involved in student leadership, organizing numerous events and serving as a team lead at GDSC BME. Mia is a strong advocate for science communication and believes that complex scientific ideas should be made accessible and engaging for broader audiences, and she tries to do that through her social media platforms. Alongside her technical background, she has a strong interest in global relations and the intersection of technology, society, and policy.

Outside of engineering and community work, Mia enjoys crocheting — a creative hobby that reflects her appreciation for both structure and creativity.
