Mihajlo Nikolić

2026

Mihajlo is a third-year undergraduate at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, specializing in international economics, law, and European integration. His academic foundation is bolstered by a semester at the University of Birmingham, where he focused on finance, adding a layer of international experience to his profile.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Mihajlo serves as a strategic consultant and parliamentary assistant, providing key support to both the Moment Group (a family firm in Velika Plana) and a Member of Parliament. In these roles, he assists with legislative, economic, and policy matters, bridging the gap between private sector interests and public governance. His professional background also includes an internship in Mergers & Acquisitions at Deloitte, where he gained practical insight into transaction structuring, due diligence, and the political economy of cross-border deals.

Looking ahead, Mihajlo plans to pursue a Master’s degree in International and EU Trade Law at Lund University (Sweden), with a specific focus on competition, contracts, and trade policy. His ultimate goal is to leverage legal training to connect institutional design and market regulation, contributing to more transparent and rules-based international economic governance. As a Pupin Initiative Fellow, he aims to refine his analytical, legal, and policy expertise within a challenging and regionally relevant environment.
