Milan Tomović

2026

Milan Tomović is an International Relations and Information Systems student at the American University in Bulgaria. Originally from Serbia, Milan spent his formative year in the United States as a U.S. State Department FLEX Program scholar, a highly competitive exchange that fostered his interest in transatlantic relations and cross-cultural collaboration.

Most recently, Milan completed an exchange semester at Shanghai University, studying Chinese business practices and culture. He previously served as Team Leader at 180 Degrees Consulting in Sofia, leading strategic projects for NGOs and SMEs across digital client acquisition and organizational development.

Milan's research interests lie at the intersection of economic statecraft, soft power, and entrepreneurship. He is particularly focused on exploring non-traditional diplomatic tools such as cultural exchange, algorithm-driven influence, and SME partnerships as mechanisms for strengthening US-Serbia relations. Having lived and studied across three continents and in both the world's largest economies, Milan brings a comparative, cross-cultural perspective to his analysis of transatlantic policy and Balkans integration strategies.
