Romania and Serbia: Strong Foundations, Strategic Connectivity
New study on Romania–Serbia strategic connectivity and regional cooperation.

The Pupin Initiative, in collaboration with New Strategy Center, has published a new study on Romania–Serbia relations, highlighting how historical ties can serve as a strong foundation for deeper strategic cooperation.
The study focuses on three key pillars: energy, logistics, and regional connectivity and explores how both countries can move beyond a primarily transactional trade relationship toward a more integrated partnership based on shared value chains.
It also examines how Romania’s EU and NATO membership can complement Serbia’s EU candidate status, creating opportunities for regulatory alignment, infrastructure development, and stronger regional resilience.
